Flood Buckets A Random Act Of Kindness
Posted By Stacy on
Many of you experienced the wrath of Hurricane Irene. While most of us recovered a few days later, our neighbors up in the Catskill Regions of New York were not so lucky. The local rivers in the town of Prattsville overflowed and a surge of water and mud passed DIRECTLY through the town. They are still in desperate need of help!
So let’s be neighborly and help them out shall we. What can we do to help??
Lets put together FLOOD BUCKETS!
My friend NewYorkMOM is organizing a FLOOD BUCKET drive for the residents of Prattsville and surrounding neighborhoods.
PLEASE STOP BY ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18 10:15 – 11:15
to drop off your goods for flood buckets in WESTCHESTER COUNTY
UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF MOUNT KISCO, NEW YORK 300 MainStreet 10549
I am working with NewYorkMOM and UMCOR – United Methodist Committee on Relief to collect as many supplies as we can to send over to Prattsville and neighboring regions. http://new.gbgm-umc.org/umcor
Why am I doing this?
It’s a RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS.!
These supplies enable people to begin the overwhelming job of cleaning up after a flood or hurricane.
